Safe Kids Week
Safe Kids is an injury prevention resource week for school age children from Junior Kindergarten through to Grade Eight, who share learned injury prevention principles with their families and the community. Safe Kids is designed to help children and families create safer homes and communities by teaching students the knowledge they need to make positive choices about their personal injury prevention behaviours.
Sault Ste. Marie Safe Kids is striving to provide the program to every classroom in the city as well as assist other communities within the Algoma District School Board and the Huron Superior Catholic District School Board with program implementation if requested. Program sustainability will be our ongoing effort in the coming years following successful completion of our initial goal.
